This thank you note surfaced in my papers this week.

a mini sculpture and a former student
I met a former student of mine who is an artist in many ways. His name is Brian and he came up with a miniature sterling sculpture. He came to Werkstatt with his concept drawn on a pizza box and a cube hamatite. We reconstructed the sketch in sterling. It’s a silver landscape with a four leg holder for his hamatite. Pretty cool to see him again. He also works on large scale projects for for the well known Vermont sculptor David Strohmeyer. Here is a picture of what he created.

First Ring Ever
Recent 8th graduate Willa really loved making this ring.
“Watching silver flow is really cool. I now have a lot of ideas about other pieces I could create as well. I want to work more on this. My idea is to put four more silver beads on in the ring in varying sizes to represent my family.”
